Best ProjectSight integrations for construction compliance
Trimble ProjectSight handles project management. It does not track certificates of insurance, endorsements, W-9s, or subcontractor prequalification. If you run compliance on ProjectSight projects, you need a compliance platform that connects to it, and far fewer of them do than you would expect.

What “integrates with ProjectSight” should actually mean
Vendors use the word integration loosely. Before you accept a claim from anyone, including us, make them answer these four questions.

Does it connect to ProjectSight, or to a different Trimble product?
Trimble owns ProjectSight, Viewpoint Vista, Spectrum, and Trimble Connect. A connector built for Viewpoint Vista is an ERP integration. It does not read your ProjectSight projects. Billy connects to both.

What objects move, and in which direction?
Projects, contracts, and vendor records are the ones that matter for compliance. Ask which specific objects sync, and whether compliance status writes back.

How often does it run?
A nightly batch, an hourly check, and a manual CSV export are three very different products sold under the same word.

Is there customer-facing documentation?
A setup guide with screenshots means real customers have run it. A logo on a partner page means a conversation happened.

Method. We searched each vendor’s own website, the Trimble Marketplace, and Trimble App Xchange for a documented ProjectSight integration on 24 August 2026. “Not publicly documented” means we did not find published evidence. It does not mean the integration does not exist or could not be built. Trimble publishes an open ProjectSight API and an App Xchange ProjectSight connector, so any vendor may ship one at any time. Compliance is more than certificates
Most COI platforms stop at the certificate. Contractors running ProjectSight projects usually need more than that, and the gap shows up after you have already bought the tool.

Accounting and ERP
Compliance only becomes a real control when it reaches the system that releases payment. Billy connects to Viewpoint Vista, Sage Intacct, Sage 300, CMiC, JD Edwards, and Acumatica.
Prequalification and the Insurance Wallet are not documented as standard modules by the other platforms compared above. Check each vendor’s current site before you decide, and ask what it costs your subcontractors to participate.
What does it cost?
Plans start at $1,000 a year.
Billy is used by small contractors running a handful of projects, mid-sized regional builders, and large enterprise general contractors managing thousands of subcontractors across a national portfolio. Pricing scales with the size of your operation rather than locking smaller teams out of the platform.
Subcontractors pay nothing. There is no account to create, no portal subscription, and no per-vendor fee charged down the chain, which is a meaningful difference from prequalification networks that bill your trade partners for access.
Why the gap exists
Nothing about ProjectSight makes it hard to integrate with. The API is public and documented. The gap is a prioritisation decision. Compliance vendors build for the largest installed base first, then move to the ERPs where payment controls live, and ProjectSight sits in the middle of that queue for most of the market.
That matters if you are a ProjectSight shop, because you inherit the consequence of someone else’s roadmap. Without a connection, compliance runs on exports and re-keying, which is where stale vendor records and missed expirations come from.

How to verify any vendor’s claim in ten minutes
Do this for every platform on your shortlist, Billy included.
- Search the vendor’s help centre for “ProjectSight.” A setup guide should come back, not a blog post.
- Check Trimble Marketplace for a listing, and read which Trimble product it names.
- Ask the sales rep for a named reference customer running the integration in production.
- On the demo, ask them to connect a sandbox ProjectSight account live rather than showing a recorded walkthrough.
- Ask what your subcontractors will be charged to submit documents.

No. ProjectSight is a construction project management platform for documents, drawings, RFIs, and cost management. Certificate tracking, endorsement verification, expiration monitoring, and subcontractor prequalification require a dedicated compliance platform connected to it.
Which COI tracking software integrates with Trimble ProjectSight?

Does Billy connect to Viewpoint Vista as well as ProjectSight?
Yes. Both are Trimble products and Billy documents integrations with each. Vista is where payment controls live, so connecting compliance to it is what turns a compliance flag into an actual hold on a check.
